Annual dues are $102.00 per scout. Please make checks made payable to Troop 416.
This covers:
- National Dues.
- Your Scout’s Boys’ Life Magazine subscription.
- Troop Dues–which cover the cost of pins, patches, and badges the average Boy Scout earns in a year.
Monthly weekend campouts normally cost between $25.00 and $40.00 which covers the cost of shared campsites, food, admissions (if applicable), and programmatic supplies.
The cost of summer camp was $235.00 for 2011. High adventure treks for older boys are usually more due to the nature of the activities and vary with the destination.
It is up to the individual as to the amount spent on personal gear and uniforms. We have a uniform closet to help reduce the expense of uniform components and often can help equip a Scout until such time as they are able to acquire their own gear.
Fundraisers are held throughout the year to help Scouts “pay their own way.”
