Annual dues are $50.00 (checks made payable to Troop 416), for the first Scout in your family you enroll, $40 for the second Scout, $30 for the third Scout, etc.
This covers:
- National Dues.
- Your Scout’s Boys’ Life Magazine subscription.
- Troop Dues–which cover the cost of pins, patches, and badges the average Boy Scout earns in a year.
Weekly dues are $1.00 per meeting—payable whether or not your Scout attends. This covers the cost of weekly programmatic supplies.
Monthly weekend campouts normally cost between $15.00 and $20.00 which covers the cost of shared campsites, food, admissions (if applicable), and programmatic supplies.
Summer Camp fees were $180 in 2006. High adventure treks are usually more due to the nature of the activities and vary with the destination.
It is up to the individual as to the amount spent on personal gear and uniforms. We have a uniform closet to help reduce the expense of uniform components and often can help equip a Scout until such time as they are able to acquire their own gear.
Fundraisers are held throughout the year to help Scouts “pay their own way.”
